Cheyenne Frontier Days

7-29-2013 PM

We left Estes Park, CO on Friday, July 19th and drove 85 miles to the Terry Bison RV park just south of Cheyenne, WY. The first  25 miles was down through the mountains. It was a very pretty drive.
Terry Bison  RV park is an interesting place, they have bison, camels, ostrich, miniature ponies, Alpacas and an ostrich. They have a nice restaurant which we had dinner in one night. The dinner was followed  by a country band. Our wagon master took our chairs down to the parade route at 4:30 in the morning so we had great seats for the parade.

After the parade we went to the Air Force Base that controls the minute man 3 missiles. We saw the training equipment they use to train the missile operators and did a simulated launch of 50 missiles. We also saw a typical missile bunker and all the equipment.
