000000trip to Koreshan State Historical Site

Two weeks ago we went to this park for a two day trip. This site is on the Estro River near Fort Myers, Florida. The site was established as a communal in 1894. The settlers were called Koreshans. They saw the settlement as the "New Jerusalem". There are number of buildings in the site from the early settlement. The park is heavily wooded with nice hiking trails along the river.
