We arrived at the Hardeeville RV Park on Sunday. It is located just north of Savannah in South Carolina. We toured Savannah on Monday and Tuesday. We walked through an old cemetery that was opened in the 1700's and closed in the mid 1800's. We took a Segway tour through the historical district. Riding the Segways was a lot of fun. It took about 15 minutes to get the knack of riding them but from then on it was easy. We took a pub crawl and visited some of the old watering holes in Savannah. Wednesday we had dinner at The Old Pink House which is a famous restaurant. We left Thursday for Dillon, South Carolina. Dillon is a small town where the most exciting thing to do is go to the Dollar Store. We spent Thursday catching up on email, organizing things and resting up.
Tomorrow we are driving north to Raleigh, North Carolina. We have an appointment on Friday to get the staples taken out of Niki's leg from the surgery she had just before we left home. She had to have a small tumor removed. They originally put in stitches but she tore them out so she had to go back and get the staples put in.
We plan on seeing Matt and Carrie Mitchel in Raleigh.
Everything is going well. The RV seems pretty big when you have to clean up. The dogs are being very good. They love it when we stop and they can explore a new place. The Television presented some challenges but we have now figured out how to switch from the satellite to cable or the antenna. Between the three sources we get a lot of channels. We have discovered that daytime television leaves something to be desired.
