Clear Water and Tampa

10-26-2012

The first pictures are of Ybor City which was started by a man named Vicente Martinez-Ybor in 1885. He moved his cigar business from Miami. Soon many Cubans followed him. Many cigar manufactures moved to Tampa from the north because of the weather. Italians and Germans immigrated to the are and worked in the cigar industry. The peak of the cigar industry was 1929, just before the depression, when 500,000,000 cigars were hand rolled.
The rest of the pictures are from the history museum and downtown Tampa.

These pictures are from Clear Water Beach and the sunset was right across from the restaurant where we had dinner.
