Update

8-18-2013
We left Jackson, WY. on Sunday, August 11th when we finished our 29 day tour. It was a great tour.It is 1291 miles from Jackson to Burleson. We made the trip in 3 days. The worst part was the construction in Fort Worth and the 5 PM traffic. We decided to come home for a while because I have to go to Florida next week for two days this coming week. The RV goes in for service next week. After that we will decide when and where we are going. After almost 3 months on the road the RV needs a good cleaning. We also needed to unload all the extra T shirts, purses and hats we acquired on our trip.

I have many pictures to get posted and will work on that project over the next couple of weeks.

I just realized I have not posted since the Cheyenne Rodeo. After Cheyenne we went to Gering, Nebraska where we saw ruts in the rock on the Oregon Trail. We visited a place called Signature Rock which is on the Oregon Trail. When people passed by they carved their names in the rock. The earliest one we found was 1815. We stopped at fort Laramie also. We then traveled to Crawford, Nebraska where we visited Fort Robinson.

From Crawford our next stop was Hot Springs, South Dakota. We went to Mount Rushmore and saw the lighting ceremony. The figures were impressive in the daylight but were really nice when lighted at night. The following day we took a tour of the Black Hills, Custer State Park and stopped to see the Crazy Horse monument. The Crazy Horse monument is being carved on a mountain that will make it three dimensional. It is at least 300 times bigger than Mt. Rushmore.

Our next stop was Deadwood, South Dakota.Deadwood was a really neat town. While in Deadwood we drove a short distance to Sturgis where the annual motorcycle rally was getting ready to start in a few days. We had seen many motorcycles in the past few days as they toured the badlands and surrounding areas. The mountains with the many hills and curves are great riding.

From Deadwood we traveled to Buffalo, WY and visited Devils tower on the way. From here on our trip was a duplicate of our last tour we did see different things.
