We have survived the first 3 days of the convention. We have been busy trying to work in as many seminars as possible and still finding time to look at all the new motor coaches on display as well as looking at the vendor booths. We have attended six hours of drivers training which should get us an insurance discount, seminars on tire safety, tire monitoring systems, generator operation and maintenance, engine operation and maintenance and battery principals. There are over 100 seminars to choose from. We have talked to the Freight-liner Representatives, who built our chassis and the Cummings people who built our engine and generator.
Monday morning our carbon monoxide detector started making a very load noise at 6AM. We found the instructions and determined that it had died. Newmar installed a new one today. We have met a lot on nice people from all over the country. It seems that at least 50 percent of the people have dogs. There are dogs of every size and breed. We have nice neighbors on both sides. They are both considering purchasing a new Newmar motor home,
There is a motor home down the road from us that the man across from us told me belongs to has friend. It cost $2 million. There is one on display that has a price tag of $1.7 million. There are so many different makes here it is amazing.
We have one more day here then we will head south.
