8-26-2012 continued
So, it was Friday the 17Th when we arrived in Greenfield. On Saturday (18Th) we went out to dinner with Gary Parker and his wife, Sherrie. I had a lobster pasta Alfredo that was really good. Judy had a salmon dish that was also very good. We had a great time catching up with the Parkers.
Sunday we visited the Museum at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and drove through downtown Indianapolis. The city seems like it is doing very well and was very busy. The Moto GP race was at the speedway on Saturday and there was a convention about gaming in town with people in character costumes.
Sunday night, Ken Brasseur and his wife came over to the park and we grilled great steaks that Ken brought. We talked and had a few cocktails, it was a lot of fun. Then we developed a water leak behind the refrigerator. We were able to shut the water off to the refrigerator. Monday morning we drove about 5 miles to Mount comfort RV to get the leak fixed. They got us right in and by noon we were back in the campground.
Tuesday morning we drove to Columbus, IN, to Ceraland RV Park, which is a park for people who work at Cummings Diesel or who have a Cummings engine. Wednesday we drove down to Brown county and drove through the State Park. Years ago you would see a lot of deer but we didn't see any. The scenery in the park is beautiful. We then drove into Nashville, IN and spent the rest of the day shopping and spending money.
While we were having lunch in a small restaurant, a man had an attack which looked like a stroke. Judy and i helped with the situation and they later gave us our lunch for half price for helping.
Thursday we toured Columbus, IN to see the many modern architectural buildings that Columbus is noted for. We then drove to Bean Blossom to go to the bluegrass festival at the Bill Monroe Music park. However the festival didn't really start until the next day so we didn't hear much bluegrass.
We had planned to head south from Columbus but learned that the Family Motor Coach Association was having their national rally in Indianapolis next week. So Friday we drove to the Indianapolis Fair Grounds and registered for the rally. There are lots of seminars, exhibitors and entertainment. They expect 2000 motor coaches. There are RV's of every size and shape as far as you can see. The Rally lasts until Friday.
I will tell you about the rally next week. I'll post the latest pictures in the next day or two.

Remember:
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave
in a well preserved body,
but rather to skid in sideways,
totally worn out, shouting
"Holy Cow.....What a ride!"
