We had a fun week at the FMCA Rally. I attended a number of good education seminars on various subjects dealing with motor homes. We heard the Buckinghams, which is a band from the 60's. Marty Stewart was the entertainment on Saturday night. We had a hail storm on Friday with a lot of rain. It rained again on Saturday. Needless to say the fields we all were parked in became muddy. Many RVs had to be pulled out with a wrecker. We put plywood that I had under the wheels and after moving the plywood a number of times we got ourselves out. It took nearly an hour. We got to our weigh in just a few minutes late. It was nice to find out our individual wheel weights were within the limits of the tires and the weight from side to side was pretty close.
We left Gillette and drove to Buffalo, WY. to meet up with the caravan. There is 24 RV's in the caravan and we all went out to dinner at a local restaurant and had a great dinner. This morning we toured a museum in Buffalo and then left to drive to Garryowen, Montana. The scenery was nice along the way. Tonight we had a barbecue with ribs and chicken. The camp ground is on the Crow Indianan reservation. We had a member of the tribe tell us some of the history that his father and great grandmother passed on to him. Tomorrow we are taking a tour of two of the local battlefields.
I'll post some pictures in the next post.
