Today we are camped at Ruby's RV Park which is outside of Bryce Canyon. Since our last post we visited the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and arrived hear on Friday. The North Rim was very pretty and the canyon is certainly big. We took a 30 mile off road trip going from our RV park to the canyon. It was a lot of fun. Judy is enjoying taking her jeep off road.
Yesterday we took a bus tour to the highest point in Bryce. The bus driver was a great guide and got off with us at each stop and pointed out hoodos to us. a hoodo is a rock formation that looks like something. In the pictures you will see a poodle and a horse. There is supposed to be a rabbit and a hunter which are in the pictures but i can't seethe forms. Bryce is not really a canyon, it is a mesa that has deteriorated to the shapes you will see in the pictures since the limestone is very soft.
After our bus tour we went off roading on an ATV trail, it was quite a trip. Last night we went to a dinner theater for dinner and a great western music show. This morning Judy went for a mule ride down into the canyon. Not being found of narrow trails with steep drop-offs I stayed home with the dogs.
