Today we drove south from Payne's Prairie Sate Park to Breezy Oaks RV Resort in Bushnell, FL. We are going to stat here until Monday when we head south to Largo, FL to see Dick and Cindy Carpenter and look around St.Petersburg. Yesterday we toured three horse farms in Ocala, FL. We toured a stud farm, an Arabian farm and a through bred farm. We saw a lot of very nice horses. We walked through their stables and learned a lot of the history of the farms. We drove through the country side a saw a lot of nice horse farms. It was a great tour.
In the morning we hiked a trail in Payne's Prairie and saw two wild horses. We were within 15 or 20 feet of them. It was really neat to see them up close. The day before we hiked another trail in the Park where we saw a lot of really large alligators. Many of them were right next to the trail. We saw signs of were the feral pigs had dug up the ground. We could here them in the tall grasses but couldn't see them. We also saw a group of 6 or 7 of the wild horses but the were quite a ways away. We also saw a number of birds.
We also toured a couple of small towns near by that have a number of historic houses.
We visited the home of Marjorie Kennan Rawlings who wrote the book The Yearling. We toured the Museum of Natural History and the butterfly rain forest at University of Florida. These were really interesting and we got a lot of butterfly pictures.

The first group of pictures in this album is on the trail in the park and the two black hoses are wild horses. Then there is two pictures of some steers we saw at the gas station. The rest of the pictures are from our tour of the horse farms except the ones of the deer. We took those coming into the camp ground.
Horses
Nice, those horses look like they've got it pretty good. No pictures of the alligators?
