Catching up since February

Since February we have made one trip to Cut and Shoot Texas and one to Fredricksburg Texas with the Travelin Texans RV Club. The rest of the time we spent at home. The end of May Judy's Mother, Sister Daughter and the three grand kids came for a week visit.It was a busy week. We spent a day at the Fort Worth Zoo. It took all of us to keep up with Amelia who is now 2 1/2. She has boundless  energy.

 We visited the Fort Worth Stock Yards and saw them herd a bunch of longhorns down the street. Of course everywhere we went the women had to shop and i was forced to shop also. we visited Dinosaur Valley State Park where they have uncovered actual dinosaur tracks. You can see these in the pictures.  We then visited Fossil Rim which is a large preserve with lots of wild animals. You drive through in your car and many of the animals come up to the car for food.. The elk but their head right in the car window. You will see all the different animals in the pictures.

 We visited the Book Depository where Lee Harvey Oswald shot J.F.K. from the window. It is now a museum which covers all the details of the shooting and investigations which followed. We walked on the grassy knoll just above were the motorcade   was when he was shot.We had lunch at the Spaghetti Factory.

We have a friend who has miniature  horses so we took the kids to see to see them. The horses are about 24 inches high.They were friendly with the kids. One in particular liked Amelia.

It was a busy week but a lot of fun.

We are on the road now on the way to Kentucky to see Debbie, Blake and Clay. I will cover this trip in the next post.
